Description of the Tour:

Art Nouveau or Jugendstil is undoubtedly the pride of Riga. Despite both World Wars rampaging the city during the XX century, more than 800 buildings in this style have survived in the city making Riga the largest collection of Art Nouveau architecture in Europe. The history of Art Nouveau in Riga also tells a story of one of the largest expansions and development of the city, a time of unprecedented wealth and splendour, of progress and artistic liberty.

In this tour, we’ll take a walk along some of the most famous Art Nouveau streets in the so-called Quiet Centre of Riga. Distance from Old Town – approximately 15-20 minutes on foot.

Optional:
Add a visit to Art Nouveau Museum tour for the ultimate experience. It allows you to take a peek at a typical upper-middle-class family apartment at the turn of the century. Kindly note that the Art Nouveau Museum is closed on Mondays.
