Description of the Tour:

Half an hour away from the hustle and bustle of Riga lies the charming spa town Jūrmala with its 33 km long white sand beaches, elegant aristocratic villas, spa hotels, and fresh air.

This is the largest seaside resort in the Baltic States with 200-year long traditions – formerly popular with the aristocracy and the wealthier part of the population and nowadays with tourists from all over Europe. We’ll take a drive around the residential part of Jūrmala to see some of the stunning architecture, including homes of local celebrities, and take a stroll along the 1km-long pedestrian street Jomas iela. We will also visit the open-air museum (closed on Mondays) where one can see the traditional lifestyle of the local fishermen.

There will also be leisure time when one can relax on the beach or take a glass of wine in any of the numerous cafés.

Optional:
